Ripping through the forests of Endor are the Imperial Scout Troopers. Known for their awesome driving skills and quick reaction time, these handpicked troopers act as the eyes and ears of any land-based army of the Imperial military. Easily flitting around the gigantic trees of the forest world, these scouts are on the lookout for any Rebel forces that might threaten the shield generator on the moon. The LEGO Star Wars 7128 Speeder Bikes set included two speeder bikes, and LEGO Star Wars minifigures including two Scout Troopers, Luke Skywalker and a bit of Endor terrain.
Speeder Bikes, among the most useful vehicles, allow people to cover vast distances quickly. Though there are some faster and flasher speeders, the 74-Z Speeder Bike (also known as the Imperial speeder bike due to almost exclusive use by Imperial Scout Troopers) could go almost anywhere in the galaxy and support Imperial forces. These grey and brown Imperial issue speeders will get the job done, though they could be painted to match any terrain. The low slung blaster cannons allow the speeders to defend themselves or harass enemy installations, keeping their attention occupied long enough for other Imperial forces to get into position. The landing gear is moveable, allowing the speeder bikes to stand upright on their own or be more aerodynamic while flying through the air. The long control vanes that make up half the length of the speeder bike have been painstakingly recreated. Cutting off the Directional Steering Vanes at the front of the speeder would make it spin out and crash just like in the movie. Each speeder bike is equipped with a comlink jammer on the controls and also a pack full of survival equipment. These things would enable Scout Troopers to watch enemy movements for days or take out enemy scouts without alerting the enemy base.
The Scout troopers are in their standard issue armor. Almost exactly like the standard Stormtrooper armor, it has been scaled back a bit to allow the trooper to move more fluidly and silently. They helmets have also been redesigned to the more hood-like version that Scout Troopers wore. The troopers’ heads aren’t just black though, the yellow faces also include a visor, which looks realistic when the helmet is placed on correctly on their head. Luke, wearing his jungle infiltrator jumpsuit, blends in with the forest nicely, but will that be able to keep him from being seen? With a determined look on his yellow face and with blond hairpiece on his head, Luke looks ready to handle just about anything.
Luke has gotten cut off from the rest of Rebel group. All alone, he’s been surrounded by two Scout Troopers on their speeder bikes. While that might be enough to overwhelm even the most well-trained and well-armed elite solider, Luke isn’t an elite solider. He’s a Jedi Knight. Armed with only his lightsaber and hiding behind a small tree, he’ll have to think of a way to disable both speeder bikes. He’ll have to do it before the Scout Troopers can relay back to the Imperial base that Rebel troopers are on the moon…
Will he be able to do it in time, or the Rebel effort to wipe out the second Death Star doomed? Only you can decide, but may the Force be with you!
